The Telecommunications International Union ran this consumer alert to let the public know about the high-pressure sales calls Southwestern Bell Communications was forcing its employees to make. Preying on the fears of the elderly and duping people into buying unneeded, extra-cost services, had already led to multimillion fines against PacBell years ago.
