WRAHC was founded to strengthen anti-hunger advocacy in the western states, to foster collaborative work on regional issues, and to provide a united voice on federal issues affecting the region. In 2001, PMC designed a website to help WRAHC coordinate efforts to strengthen and improve the Food Stamp program as Congress began reauthorization of the primary federal food program used to fight hunger in America.
